The aim of Vogue Entertainment is to create an atmosphere of friendship and learning in a happy environment. To provide classes for children of all ages and levels who wish to participate for a hobby full of fun and fitness, or for those who want to pursue a career in the entertainment industry.

Vogue Entertainment is far more than a performing arts school. It is a hub of energy and learning for children and adults who want to be exposed to the real industry. Peer group interaction, physical activity, and self expression are just some of the benefits and outcomes of attending our classes. Our Director and staff have a common goal of passing on their knowledge, and are fully qualified with a wealth of hands-on experience in their area of expertise. Not only does Vogue Entertainment studios open the curtains of opportunity to your child as a hobby but it can also be a link to the final stages of successful entry into dance, classical, singing or musical theatre courses available at West Australian Academy of Performing Arts(WAAPA). Which can then lead you to the career of your dreams on the big stage. Many of our students have been successful in being accepted into these coveted courses including: Lucy Durack, Taneel Van Zyl, Allyce Martins, Shane Collard, James Bell, Jamie Ward, Daniella Bernardini, Martine Lewis & Amberly Cull. Leanna Del Basso

Leanna Del BassoThe director of Vogue Entertainment,
Leanna Del Basso is a passionate and outstanding teacher of the highest caliber, who always leads by example. Leanna was first given the gift of dance by her parents at the age of nine and was nurtured by great teachers such as Norma Atkinson, Peta Norton and Shirley Halliday. She was successful in gaining the prestigious award of the Australasian Ballerina Cup, Open solo Ballet Dancer, Jazz and Tap Champion, Dancer of the Ballarat Festival, and for many years won Cabaret Jazz Sections ,Tap Championships , Open Ballet scholarships , Demi Characters , National and Neo Classical Awards. To be a leader for so many consecutive years took great passion, dedication and hard work. Leanna gained a C.S.T.D. Diploma in Theatrical Dance, the C.S.T.D. Blue Sash Award which is the final public exam, and the Royal Academy of Dance Adv.

Leanna Del Basso has been involved in the entertainment industry for many years and has worked with both National and international stars such as Human Nature, Kate Ceberano , Todd McKenney, Nathan Cavalieri, Neil Sedaka , Celine Dion, Olivia Newton-John, Daryl Somers, and Marcia Hines. She has produced and choreographed for the Burswood Showroom for International Stars of World Magic, Musicals in Concert with Jill Perryman, Channel 7 Telethon Openings and production items, Rally Australia, Johnny Walker Golf Classics, City Of Perth Turning on the Christmas Lights and The City Of Perth Nativity for 13 years, WA Turf Club Spring Carnivals and Perth Cups,the bringing home ceremonies of many Olympic Games, the Butterfly Ball, Diggers n Dealers Ball Kalgoorlie, Industry Export & Import Awards Night, Rigbys Forrest Centre Dinner & Show Nights, Perth Royal Show & Cystic Fibrosis Ball. Leanna was Dance cheer leader and choreographer of the Western Reds for 3 Consecutive years including the Grand Finals in Brisbane and many other opening and closing events and numerous charity balls and productions entertaining the people of Perth. In the Musical theatre side she played Chastity Angel in Anything Goes at His Majesty’s Theatre under direction of John Milson and with her sister Marina has worked as a producer and choreographer of Guys and Dolls, The Pyjama Game and producer of their own musical of Pinocchio for a terrific season at the Regal Theatre. She has been involved with schools as The Performing Arts Producer / Choreographer of performing arts Items for three years in the Catholic Performing Arts Competitions receiving Honours for all three productions.

Leanna has proudly produced many talented stars who have gone on to enjoy wonderful careers in the entertainment industry , including dancers and singers such as Lucy Durack (Wicked, Mama Mia, Strange Bedfellows), Allyce Martins (Hi-5, Wicked), Taneel Van Zyl (Wicked, Dr Zhivago), Michael Johns (American Idol), Justin McNamara (Cats Australia and Germany), Rohan Senior (Chicago West End ,Sunset Boulevard, Chorusline, Joseph and the Technicolour dream coat) , Daniella Bernardini (backing dancer for Prinnie, Jessica Mauboy, Wynter Gordon, dancer in The Great Gatsby),Cristina Federici (Kirov ballet Russia), Shane Collard (Moulin Rouge, Top 20 So You Think You Can Dance UK), and other vocal performers who have gone on to produce cd’s, win ARIA awards, and get record deals in the USA, including Perth’s latest rising star, Veronica Bravo, who has recently been signed to an all-girl group in USA.

Leanna has a confidence in the talent of Western Australian performers in the field of entertainment and the performing arts and this is why so many students of Vogue Entertainment have been so successful and have taken their talents and attained positions in academies throughout Australia including: W.A.A.P.A, N.I.D.A, V.C.A., ED5 International and The Australian Ballet school, or are now terrific teachers themselves sharing the gift of song and dance. This is the reason so many families have joined Vogue Entertainment, the studio with a difference!

Tanya Edwards

Tanya began dancing at the age of 4, and was taught by wonderful teaching greats Norma Atkinson & Peta Norton. At the age of 18 she joined Del Basso Dance Academy, which later became Vogue Entertainment, and in 1994 achieved her C.S.T.D Full Teachers Diploma in Jazz, Tap, and classical Ballet. She teaches various classes at Vogue Entertainment, has an administration role handling accounts, enquiries and emailing newsletters, and is also Production Assistant to Leanna Del Basso. Tanya greatly enjoys teaching dance from tiny tots to teenagers, helping students to build their self-esteem and discover their love of dance.

Cristina Federici Di Donna

Born in Perth, Western Australia started dancing at age 5 with Norma Atkinson. Studied CSTD Jazz, Tap, Ballet and Acrobatics, and later RAD Classical training. Auditioned when 15 and was successful in gaining acceptance to the Graduate College Ballet program co jointly run with Swanbourne Senior High. At 16 participated in the Prix De Lausanne competition in Switzerland. I was fortunate to be offered full dance scholarships to Ballettschule Hamburg, Heinz-Bosl stiftung Munich, Budapest Balett School and Kirov Vagonova Ballet Academy Russia. After graduating from Swanbourne Senior High, I accepted the scholarship to join the 8th year Graduation Class at the Kirov Vaganova Ballet Academy in St Petersburg. I continued my ballet training with Ballett Akademie Muchen, Heinz-Bosl Stiftung as well as performing with the Bayerishe Staatsballett on a half contract. Later in my career I experienced five wonderful years doing a variety of entertainment shows on television and in various theatres whilst working with many renowned choreographers. In my final years I was working and choreographing shows aboard the MSC – Mediterrean Shipping Cruise Liners for Camus Entertainment. One of many career highlights occurred while working for Jackie Deschamps of Show Line Productions Paris. During 1996 New Year’s Eve televised Variety Performance in Frankfurt, I performed with artists such as Gloria Gaynor and N-Sync – a young Justin Timberlake. I returned to Perth mid 2000. A qualified RAD Teacher and a WACOT fully registered teacher. Hold my Certificate IV in Training and Assessing. Guest teacher and examiner at WAAPA. Have a qualification in Financial Services and am a beginner Rhythmic Gymnastics Judge. The last competitions I adjudicated were the CANDANCE comps in Adelaide.

Casey Johnston

Casey commenced her dancing at age two. She has studied jazz, tap, classical, acrobats, highland as well as drama, singing and musical theatre. Casey has travelled and competed nationally with her dancing as well as having been on two dance tours to LA as a dancer and a choreographer. As a youngster she performed in many pantomimes in both lead and chorus roles, has performed at many corporate functions around Perth, been a cheerleader for various WA sporting teams and danced in the chorus of both Countdown Spectaculars starring Molly Meldrum at the Burswood Dome. Casey has also adjudicated a number of dance festivals around Perth and in the country. Casey’s teaching commenced age eleve. Her choreography is varied and includes high school drama productions, corporate functions, fashion shows, local fundraisers, video clips as well as routines for competitions and end of year concerts. Casey has completed exams in the theatrical, tapping and classical branches of the Commonwealth Society of Teachers of Dancing. She also holds her Students Teachers Diploma and her Full Teachers Diploma in the Theatrical Branch of the society. Casey is passionate about gaining the most out of every child as possible and finds no greater joy than watching her students perform on stage where they can truly shine.

Austin Chandler

Austin's training and professional career have taken him around the world and most recently he has been working as a choreographer and creative director in Sydney for clients such as Harpers Bazaar, Nike, TEDx and more.. and some of his professional dancing credits include The Great Gatsby, Kylie Minogue, Jessie J and much more. Austin is a passionate, nurturing and professional teacher with a wealth of knowledge to share across all facets of the performing arts industry

Jodie Preston

Jodie has danced since the tender age of 4yrs, with extensive training in musical theatre, singing, tap, jazz, drama, acrobats, gymnastics and classical ballet. In 1989 she began teaching classes, and continues to do so today. She is particularly in demand for the musical theatre classes, acrobatic performers and jazz classes. More recently Jodie has been completing some certifications to extend her dance qualifications, both her Certificate 4 in Training and Assessment and her Certificate 2 in dance. She also work as a “SME of Dance” (Subject matter expert) for Registered Training Organisations, and has recently achieved her Module One certification in Acrobatic Arts. Jodie keeps up her currency in dance not only by teaching but by attending workshops and professional dance classes as often as she can. She incorporates technique, stretch, strength and choreography into all of her classes, whilst making the class an enjoyable place to be. The many years of training and teaching has instilled in Jodie a deep love of exercise, and an ingrained need for structure in everyday life as well as fitness.

Una Genuino

Una is a dancer and choreographer based in Perth, Western Australi. She is the co-founding director of The Society Dance Company. Una has successfully brought The Society to be among the top hip hop dance crews in Australia by winning the Silver and the Gold awards at the national championships and eventually giving dancer’s the opportunity to represent Australia on International stages such as Hip Hop International World Championships in Las Vegas (2014) and San Diego (2015), as well as winning the Bronze Award at the Dancer’s Paradise competition in Cancun, Mexico (2017). In her years of teaching, choreographing, directing, and dancing, Una has found her distinct style of movement with inspiration from contemporary, hip-hop, and urban dance foundations and techniques, which has led to her unique interpretation of music and movement. Known for her emotionally powerful, yet groovy and smooth movement, her work has led her to teach in Sydney’s, Your Hip Hop Class, LA Talent, Crossover Dance, Kingdom Culture Company, Brisbane’s, House Of Sole and Mad Dance House, as well as Snow Globe Perspective in Los Angeles, California. Una intends to share her experience to those who aspire to pursue the art of dance within her community and beyond, through dance and the arts. She hopes to inspire and encourage young women and men to pursue their dreams.

Rachel Moore

Rachel began her training at the age of two and has trained under the CSTD Syllabus completing her CSTD Theatrical and Tap Medal Examinations. Rachel has also trained in RAD Classical Ballet to Advanced level. Rachel is an experienced singer / dancer and is passionate about teaching and sharing her knowledge with Vogue students. Her training at Vogue has provided Rachel with many opportunities to show her talent by performing in corporate events, shows and competitions. In 2015 she completed a Cert IV in Commercial dance, 2016 she completed a Cert IV in Musical Theatre, and in 2017 was accepted into WAAPA to study Contemporary Vocals. Rachel is a Perth Glory Cheerleader and loves being a part of Vogue Performers

Carli Edwards

Carli commenced her training with Vogue Performers at the age of 3. Nurtured and encouraged by Leanna Del Basso she has become an experienced performer in many genres of dance, vocals and musical theatre and has performed at various events throughout Perth in troupes and as a soloist. In addition to her training at Vogue, Carli has also had 5 years of private vocal training, and studied Music and Drama at WACE level. In 2016 Carli was asked to return to her school St Stephens as an alumni to understudy the lead role in the full production of Thoroughly Modern Millie and was also the Dance Captain for the production. Carli also choreographed the schools dance numbers for their production of Grease in 2018. She loves to perform and compete and has been extremely successful in eistedfodds in Perth. She has performed on Telethon as a soloist and in various corporate shows in Perth. Carli has studied 2 years in Primary Education at ECU and has now transferred to high school teaching major in Drama and minor in Dance at ECU Mt Lawley. She is delighted to be teaching at Vogue Performers.

Janelle Vaccaro

Janelle has traveled the world as a professional dancer & choreographer. Her career highlights include music videos, TV, choreography & live shows with DDO Artists Agency Los Angeles, LMFAO, Enrique Iglesias, M.A.C. Las Vegas, Carnival Cruises, Michael Schwandt, McDonalds, Guy Sebastian, Abbe May, Rove & 9.9. Janelle is the founder & director of female vocal/dance act Nylon (Future Music Festival, support for TLC, Ciara, & Samantha Jade) & teaches Hip Hop & Heels classes to over 300 students in Perth each week..

Tonia Santoro

Born in Italy, Tonia began her dance training in Massafra in ballet, modern, jazz and contemporary with the National Dance Council of America Inc. From the age of 17 she deepened her studies of classical ballet (Vaganova method) with Sylvia Humaila (first dancer at the Timisoara Opera - Romania) and at the same time she had the opportunity to study with many international famous dancers and teachers such as: Carlos Palacios (ballet), Mia Michaels (contemporary), Michelle Assaf (modern jazz), Terry Beeman (contemporary), Giuliano Peparini (lyrical), Wes Weldink (lyrical jazz), Bill Goodson (funky), Christopher Huggins (lyrical), Bruno Collinet (contemporary), Danilo Mazzotta (ballet), Fabrizio Monteverde (contemporary), Desmond Richardson (contemporary), Mauro Mosconi (modern), Radu Ciùca (ballet), Elen Diolot (ballet) and Steve La Chance (moder/jazz) for which she was assistant. Tonia has been a dance teacher and choreographer in many dance schools in Italy and in several workshops with Raffaele Paganini, Garrison Rochelle and Little Phil. She also worked with Sans Papier Theatre Company as dancer and choreographer on the opera rock “Notre Dame de Paris” and “Romeo and Juliet”, with Compagnia Stabile del Musical as dancer on the musical “West Side Story” and “Tutti pazzi per il Musical” and with CDG Contemporary Company. She currently works as dance teacher and choreographer with several schools in the Perth area. She is a certified dance instructor with FID (Federazione Italiana Danza) and AND (Accademia Nazionale Danza), Rome – Italy. She is also EBAS certified instructor level 1.

Ryan Woodhouse

Ryan began his training as a gymnast at the age of 4. From there he made it into the Western Australian Institute of Sport (WAIS) program and the Youth Olympics Games representing Australia. Ryan began dancing in 2011, and started teaching in 2017. He specialises in Acrobatics, and is a certified teacher. Ryan completed his Module One teaching course, under Acrobatics Arts, in 2018. Since then he has been teaching in numerous school across Perth, including Vogue Performers, gaining experience and knowledge to help train eager acrobats from the age of 4 through to adults.

Amy Goodwin

Amy began dancing at age 3, training primarily in ballet. As she continued her dance training, she participated in an exclusive ballet program, during which she was fortunate enough to participate in productions alongside guest performers from St Petersburg ballet, Russia. When she moved to Vogue Performers in 2013, Amy began training in jazz, tap, ballet, hip hop and lyrical/contemporary. Amy studied Dance at WACE level, and is in her third year studying Bachelor of Education in Early Childhood at Curtin University. Vogue Performers has given Amy many opportunities participating in professional corporate events, and Amy is super excited about her new role as an assistant teacher.
